We used to fish off this pier when we were kids. Whipping with light and ultra-light rigs and going for papio and kaku, mostly. See the old pilings to the right? It’s pretty long, built into the mud flat bottom all the way to a channel drop off at the end, where there was a square platform. Maybe one day it will be repaired. It’s OK to dream, right?
Waning gibbous moon over the Ko’olau region called Lanihuli.
Used the vantage point of Kane’ohe Ranch house front lawn. Need some benefit from that community-destroying enterprise.

Yesterday. I was talking to my friend DA and randomly snapped this. Pleasantly surprised.
The sunrise this morning at Kalama’s.
Got out of cozy bed. Peeked out the window and caught a glimpse of color. Grabbed camera. Drove to Hauoli Street. Ran from truck through Boettcher Estate to the beach. Snapped a few.
The human version of 0-60.
Are there Dinosaur Bones in Hawai’i? That is a question. T. Rex, V. Raptor, is there sign of them? What about any other Jurassic era evidence? One common argument against evolution is that Dinosaur Bones were placed in the earth’s layers as a test of our faith to believe in an active, interactive and almighty God. Faith: to believe without evidence. We cannot deny the existence of Dinosaur Bones but is there a simpler, more elegant way to not deny them? There is. Natural selection. Evolution. Darwin’s simple explanation that incorporated unfathomable expanses of time in conjunction with genetic mutation that enable individuals to better survive specific environmental conditions. Simple. Earth-shattering but simple. A notion that puts an end to the folly of a Supreme-Being-created biosphere. A notion that challenges the eons-long held beliefs of humankind. An idea that entrenches a great portion of humanity into a deeper denial. Fear. Fear of letting go of something held onto so long, without another thing to grab on to. The impartial, neutral and unjust universe which has no intention and only has effects by its laws. Let go and float. It’s not so bad. You may experience true freedom.
